1. Who we are

Glint is provided by Binary Beam Innovations ("Binary Beam", "we", "us"), a sole proprietorship. You can contact us at [email protected]. All purchases are sold and processed by our merchant of record, Polar (see Section 4). By accessing the website at glint.binarybeam.net (the "Site") or downloading, installing, or using the Glint macOS application (the "App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App or Site.

2. The service

Glint is a macOS menu-bar and notch utility that surfaces what your Claude Code sessions are doing - live status, metrics, plans, and usage - by reading the session files Claude Code writes locally on your Mac. The App requires a working installation of Anthropic's Claude Code to be useful; it does not include, resell, or provide access to Claude Code or to any Anthropic service.

Glint is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Anthropic. "Claude" and "Claude Code" are trademarks of Anthropic, PBC. Your use of Claude Code itself is governed by Anthropic's own terms.

3. Licence and restrictions

Subject to these Terms and payment of any applicable fees, Binary Beam grants you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable licence to install and use Glint on the number of devices permitted by your plan (currently up to two). Each licence is for a single user.

You may not: (a) copy, redistribute, resell, sublicense, rent, lease, or lend the App or your licence key; (b) share, publish, or otherwise expose your licence key; (c) reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by applicable law; (d) circumvent, disable, or tamper with licensing, activation, or security features; (e) use the App to build or market a competing product; or (f) use the App for any unlawful purpose.

4. Plans, billing, and payments

Glint is offered as a one-time lifetime licence. All purchases are sold and processed by Polar (Polar Software Inc.) acting as our reseller and merchant of record; your payment transaction is therefore with Polar, and your purchase is also subject to Polar's terms. As merchant of record, Polar is responsible for payment processing, invoicing, and the collection and remittance of any applicable sales tax or VAT, while Binary Beam licenses the software to you under these Terms. A lifetime licence is a single payment for use of the current and future macOS versions of Glint, subject to these Terms; there is no subscription, no recurring charge, and nothing to renew or cancel.

5. Price changes

We may change our prices at any time. A lifetime licence that has already been purchased is not affected by later price changes.

6. Refunds

Because payments are processed by Polar as merchant of record, refunds are handled in accordance with Polar's refund policy and applicable law. Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable. Any goodwill refund is granted at our and Polar's discretion. To request a refund, contact us at [email protected].

7. Licence validation and connectivity

The App periodically validates your licence with Polar and allows a short offline grace period. If your licence is refunded, charged back, or is otherwise revoked, the associated licence key may be deactivated and the App may stop functioning until a valid licence is provided.

8. Claude Code and third-party software

The App reads files that Claude Code writes on your Mac and may invoke the locally installed Claude Code command-line tool to display your own account and usage information. We do not control Claude Code, its output formats, or Anthropic's services, and we do not guarantee that the App will remain compatible with future Claude Code versions. Your use of Claude Code, including any usage limits or charges, is solely between you and Anthropic.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the App or Site, interfere with their normal operation, attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system, or use them to infringe the rights of others or to violate any law.

10. Intellectual property

The App, the Site, and all related software, design, text, and trademarks are owned by Binary Beam or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms grant you no ownership and no rights other than the limited licence described above. "Glint" and "Binary Beam" are our trademarks and may not be used without our prior written permission.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

The App and Site are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, that the information it displays will be accurate or complete, or that any defects will be corrected. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so some of the above may not apply to you.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Binary Beam and its owners and personnel will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, revenue, business, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to the App, the Site, or these Terms, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total aggregate liability for all claims will not exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you paid to us or to Polar for Glint in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD 20.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Binary Beam from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the App or Site, or your breach of these Terms.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your licence and access immediately, without notice, if you breach these Terms or misuse the App. On termination, your licence ends and you must stop using and delete the App. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination - including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification - will survive.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, by notice on the Site. Your continued use of the App or Site after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
